The Official Presentation of AMD Naples Processors for the Enterprise Market Is to Take Place in the 2nd Quarter This Year

AMD continues to reveal secrets regarding its Zen-based novelties. This time we are speaking about chipsets for the enterprise market under the Naples code name.

The first of the Naples CPUs mentioned encompasses 8 CCX computing units (CPU Complex) with each of them possessing 4 cores. All in all, there are 32 cores, and 64 threads are processed simultaneously. The chipset includes an embedded DDR4 memory 8 channel controller and a module of 64 64 PCI-Express 3.0 lines. The max RAM capacity is 2 TB. On top of everything AMD Infinity Fabric allows to form dual-processor systems and, thus, double all aforecited rates.

The AMD Co. is going to retail Naples specialties at a reasonable price to provide competition for Xeon E5-2600 Intel products. However, AMD based systems will feature more advanced specs and higher productivity.

Naples CPUs by AMD are expected to be officially introduced in the second quarter of 2017.

Asus to Release MG248Q Gaming Monitor

Asus keeps on expanding its lineup of gaming monitors. This time the manufacturer introduces a 24-inch MG248Q display, based on TN panel. The latter features 16:9 aspect ratio & supports Full HD resolution (1920x1080).The new-comer is characterized by a sleek design, an ergonomic stand with several adjustment options (height, swivel, pivot) and by the possibility to employ VESA bracket for wall mounting.

The integrated within Asus MG248Q panel offers lighting-speed response time – 1 ms. The support for AMD FreeSync technology allows the monitor to dynamically change the refresh rate from 40 Hz to 144 Hz on different conditions. The model is compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision 2 kit; this provides for an overwhelming immersion into 3D gaming world.

The MG248Q accommodates three video ports: HDMI, DisplayPort & DVI-D. The greenhorn is furnished with two inbuilt speakers (4 W). It is able to display up to 16.7 million colors at the maximal brightness of 350 cd/m2 and dynamic …

Welcome in a New Professional FirePro W8100 Graphics Card from AMD

AMD has filled up its professional line of graphics cards with a new model: the AMD FirePro W8100. According to the manufacturer, the greenhorn is an optimal choice for computer-aided design, video editing, compositing, visualization, color grading, and computing tasks. The release is arranged for July, adding the variety of different versions from AMD partners, like Sapphire and others.

AMD FirePro W8100 is based on AMD GCN 2.0 graphics core with 2560 stream processors and 40 cluster units. Memory subsystem comes up with 8 GB of GDDR5 chips, featuring 512-bit interface. Its data transfer bandwidth equals to 320 Gb/sec. Upon the whole, the peak efficiency of single-precision computations achieves 4.2 TFLOPS, whereas the peak efficiency of dual-precision computations makes up 2.1 TFLOPS.

One of the major distinctive features attributed to the graphics card is the integration of four DisplayPort 1.2 ports. They allow for the connection of up to 4 monitors simultaneously; …

Quantum Tape drives, list of models

Choose a model of your Quantum Tape drives out of 54321 items in the list. Our inventory includes approximately 654963 free drivers which you can download trouble-free.

Tape drives, also called streamers, – specialized storage devices based on the principle of magnetic recording on tape media. Currently, many professional users find this type of equipment is obsolete and use more modern internal/external storage and network storage for speed work with the data. Still, tape drives have not lost their relevance when creating backup systems.

Backup systems ensure data integrity under emergency situations (errors, interruptions in the system operation, emergency shutdown, etc.). The flow of information even a small home network is constantly increasing, what can we say about a corporate environment where the amount of information is simply enormous. For successful data backup, select the device with device drivers for tape drives.

In addition to the large capacity, tape drives have low power consumption, reliability and stability, as well as high recording density, which is achieved due to the large surface of the magnetic layer. Their main drawback is the lack of direct access to information, because to read the individual file, you must first rewind the tape to the right place. This significantly slows data processing.

All tape drives are divided into dubbini and odrobinie. Both types of devices partially repeat the principle of operation of obsolete video and audio cassettes. Dubbini stores offer a plastic housing, inside which is placed the feed (winds off the tape) and foster (winding tape) reel. To manipulate the reservation process help driver for tape drives.

In odnorobivka models receiving cartridge is missing; instead a special mechanism of the tape drive pulls the tape over the lead tape running mechanism and a clip on the receive coil.
